　　别名　挂金灯、灯笼果、红灯笼。

　　来源　为茄科植物酸浆physalis alkekengi l.var. franchetii (mast.)makino的宿萼或带果实的宿萼。

　　植物形态　一年生草本，全株密生短柔毛，高25～60cm。茎多分枝。叶互生，卵形至卵状心形，长4～8cm。宽2～6cm，边缘有不等大的锯齿。花单生于叶腋；花萼钟状，5裂；花冠钟状，淡黄色，直径6～10mm，5浅裂，裂片基部有紫色斑纹；雄蕊5，花药黄色；子房2室。浆果球形，绿色，直径约1.2cm，外包以膨大的绿色宿萼；宿萼卵形或阔卵形。全国大部分地区有分布。

　　采制　秋季果实成熟、宿萼呈红色或橙红色时采收，干燥。

　　性状　宿萼略呈灯笼状，多压扁，长3～4.5cm，宽2.5～4cm。表面橙红色或橙黄色，有5条明显的纵棱，棱间有网状的细脉纹。顶端渐尖，基部略平截，中心凹陷有果梗。体轻，质柔韧，中空，或内有棕红色或橙红色果实。果实球形，多压扁，直径1～5cm，果皮皱缩，内含种子多数。宿萼味苦，果实味甘、微酸。

　　化学成分　浆果含酸浆醇（physanol）a、b；种子中含禾本甾醇（gramisterol）、钝叶醇（obtusifoliol）、环木菠萝烷醇（cycloartanol）、环木菠萝烯醇（cycloartenol）等。

　　性味　性寒，味苦。

　　功能主治　清热解毒，利咽，化痰，利尿。用于咽痛音哑、痰热咳嗽、小便不利。
